Riverdale Chic

I've been working on posting some recent project pics for the blog. This is one of my favorite projects in Riverdale. A lovely family that needed a little interior design help. It was an almost gut renovation on a limited budget but we were able to create a fluid and elegant space with some key elements.

We found some interesting maps on etsy that reflected the multicultural make up of the family.

With a toddler in the family we chose these Flor carpet tiles as an area rug that added a textural dimension but are also very practical. The console is super sleek.

Riverdale Residence Before and After

It was a great pleasure working with this client in Riverdale.  She was so ready to renovate when she called --we immediately got to work selecting the kitchen and bathroom fixtures, lighting and finishes.  We transformed a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment that had been two apartments that were previously joined (but very poorly) within 6 months --the actual work only took 2 months.  It was an almost gut renovation--we took down some walls and reconfigured the space to create more graceful flow.  I will post more before and after photos!

This is a sneak peak at the Master Bathroom. By splitting the tile up with the border, it creates an illusion of more space--the shower and the rest of the bathroom are joined visually.  The glass tile adds a sense of depth as well.
